Introduce your team briefly.
We are an enthusiast group of engineering students that really want to follow their passion. We know it is not easy: we have to deal with fully formed, structured, and experienced teams, but we are fully motivated for this mission.
Tell us about your team’s history with Formula Student.
Our first participation was at FS Italy and FS Spain in 2019. We learned a lot from that experience and it really pushed us to keep on working and improving. We were a rookie team, and we had good feedback, which motivates us to try to rank up in future competitions.
What does joining Formula Student Netherlands mean to you?
To participate at FSN really satisfies and motivates us to keep going, so we can realize that we are improving. With constant effort and responsibility, we really think that can reach wherever we want.
What are your main goals for this year?
The objective is to experience, develop and show our passion for motor Racing, as well as to live a unique and exciting track experience. We want to keep learning to show that we really are capable of at Formula Student. Also, we would like to optimize our procedures for the next years. But probably, the main goal for this year is to have a fast car, with low costs and low pollution emissions, something that nowadays is also very important.
What made you think of choosing FSN?
FSN is one of the most stunning, recognized, and appreciated events at Formula Student. The whole team is very proud and happy to be part of it.
What makes you different from the other teams?
We have high confidence in ourselves. So, we know that with our perseverance, constancy, hard work, and passion, we will be a good FS Team. We are engineering students that really fight day by day to improve.
What is your biggest achievement in Formula Student so far?
As we said, we are starting as a team, this is going to be our second year of competition, but our biggest achievement is to have been part of FS Spain and Italy in 2019
Describe your car in three words
Fast, efficient, and low-cost.
How did COVID-19 affect your team and how did you deal with it?
COVID-19 supposed a big delay on deadlines and objectives that we were dealing with. 3 months of work were nearly lost. We managed it in a way we could keep designing from home, trying to develop a car in every area we could with the software we had there. We realized that it was impossible to compete anywhere, so we decided to save those upgrades to 2021.
